1. Who we are
Qardex is an AI-assisted flashcard and social study application operated by the individual seller identified in its App Store listing. In this policy, “Qardex,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to that operator.
Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@qardex.app.
2. Information we collect
Account and profile information
When you create an account, we may process your email address, authentication identifiers, display name, username, profile image, biography, learning statistics, and account preferences.
Learning and content information
We process decks, flashcards, study history, confidence responses, race activity, group activity, messages, shared content, and marketplace actions that you choose to create or use.
Files and device permissions
If you choose a related feature, Qardex may access photos, camera input, documents such as PDFs, or notifications. We ask through your device before accessing permission-protected resources. You can change permissions in iOS Settings.
Purchase information
Apple processes payments. Qardex and RevenueCat receive transaction identifiers, product and entitlement status, renewal state, and related subscription information. We do not receive your full card or bank details.
Technical information
We may receive device and app version, operating system, language, approximate region, crash information, notification token, diagnostic events, IP address, and security logs needed to run, protect, and improve the service.
3. How we use information
- Provide accounts, sync decks, deliver study sessions, races, groups, messaging, and marketplace features.
- Generate or regenerate flashcard drafts when you request AI features.
- Process and restore subscriptions, entitlements, and virtual Race Token balances.
- Send service notifications and, only where allowed, product communications.
- Prevent abuse, enforce rules, secure accounts, debug problems, and improve performance.
- Meet legal obligations and respond to valid rights requests.
4. AI features
When you ask Qardex to create flashcards, the text, image, or document content needed for that request is sent through our server-side systems to an AI service. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. Review generated cards before relying on them, especially for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical learning.
Do not upload sensitive personal information or content you do not have the right to use.
5. Service providers
We use providers that process information on our behalf or help deliver the app, including:
- Google Firebase for authentication, databases, file storage, notifications, configuration, hosting, security, and server functions.
- Google AI services for user-requested flashcard generation through our server-side integration.
- RevenueCat for purchase status, entitlements, subscription operations, and virtual currency operations.
- Apple for App Store distribution, payments, refunds, and platform services.
These providers may process information in countries other than your own under their contractual and legal safeguards.
6. Sharing and public activity
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared with service providers as described above, when you intentionally use social or public features, when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business reorganization subject to appropriate safeguards.
Your display name, profile image, shared decks, race results, group activity, or marketplace content may be visible to other users depending on the feature and your choices. Avoid posting private information in public or shared areas.
7. Retention and security
We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and keep necessary transaction records. Retention periods vary by data type. Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups or logs before secure removal.
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your information. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent and complain to your local data protection authority.
You can edit certain profile information in Qardex. To delete your account and associated content, use the in-app account deletion control or contact support@qardex.app. We may verify that the request belongs to you.
9. Children
Qardex is not directed to children under 16, and users must meet the minimum digital-consent age that applies where they live. If you believe a child provided personal information without valid authorization, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, providers, or law changes. The current version and its effective date will be posted here. We will provide additional notice when required.
